I recall a topic several weeks back about which nozzles belong to what pumps. Someone commented that they have never seen a National branded nozzle. A while back, I was asked to accompany my friend whom owns a large demolition company to the site of a "teens" mansion on the North Shore of Chicago. Along with the mansion was a 20 car garage both slated to be torn down the coming week. Inside were many antiques and vintage automobile parts but no petro related material to speak of. However in the far corner under a blanket I spotted something that looked like it might be a gas pump. Underneath was a National Simplex pump with 10 ft of canvas hose attached to a National branded brass banana nozzle. The pump, faces, hose and nozzle looked to have hardly been used. After talking with the family I found out that the pump was only used for a short time. The great grandfather did not care for the Simplex and filling stations where starting to become more common. The Simplex just sat in the corner of the garage never to be used again. Attached are several pictures of the unrestored Simplex the day I brought it home and two other Nationals I restored out of my collection.

No, that globe was already in my collection. The pump had no globe on it when I found it.
