Restored pumps dont bring the money they should. Restored globes dont bring the money they should. Why should signs?

I would take a good original pump over a restored one any day.

I agree with you OLD IRON,,, we restore everything else but it's a big deal when we restore a sign. People even restore, $200K Corvettes, Auburns,Dusenburg's,, double Bowsers gas pumps worth thousands.. Everything has a value to it,,EVEN restored signs,, I've done a few and had Rick Neault and his father Jerry ( LeBaron Sign Restorations, Elkridge Maryland) do them, they do extremely excellent work.. there is a place for everything . The original question was who is the best guy to talk too.. My answer is above. JMO,,,

Eric....I think you'll find this sign is not all that hard to find in much better condition than yours. They're fairly common and you should be able to find a nice one for $500+/-. I see them at just about every oil & gas show, plus often on eBay. To replace the corner and repair both sides would cost quite a bit more than $500 I'd think.
