I'm in the process of painting a 15" aluminum globe body and I'm wondering if I should paint the aluminum snap rings? I've seen globes with painted and unpainted rings. I thought it might look cool to take some Flitz and polish the aluminum snap rings to a high shine and leave them unpainted. Any one have any thoughts on this?

Thanks
Mac

Good question. If it was me I would paint it the same color. But on the other hand a polished ring would look good to. As long as it did not clash with the color of the body & lenses.

I am painting the globe body to look like the one on Pogo's website. I see in his pic that the rings weren't painted and like the look of it as pictured. These are the lenses I picked when I won the 3000 contest. I thought if I polished the snap rings to a high shine it might look cool.
