this may be the most famous 6/395 gantry on the planet - even Wikipedia features it on its California US 395 page:

The 6 is a 1940, and the 395 is a 1948. The gantry was taken down in August, 1963 - when US-6 was truncated to Bishop and the 6/395 multiplex eliminated - and discarded by the side of the road, but someone picked it up, planted it in their front yard, and held on to it for 47 years. For

And now the rusty 1940s 6/395 gantry is in a great collection of highway signs in the high desert area of southern California; original 6/395 pole - original signs, original post, hell, original bullets and original dirt!
I know I won't find something like this again for a while...
