...these are all old generic thermometers, maybe salesman samples, that some unscrupulous genius decided to make more interesting by applying what looks like water transfers of logos from Gulf, Mobil, 7up, B. F. Goodrich, etc...he even has the 'original boxes'...shame the junk already has bids...


Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

...he's at it AGAIN - I sent the seller this:

"Your thermometers are fakes - they might be old, but the oil company logos on them are definitely not old. Looks like someone found a bunch of plain thermometers (maybe samples?) and decided to make them more desirable. Thought you ought to know - I saw what your last batch went for and thought it was a real shame that people were spending good money on something phony."
