Looking for places that repair porcelan. I have some pumps that have porcelan tops and sides and the porcelan is in need of repair but don't know of anyone that can do that type of work or their location.

Please send your reply to sldaron@frontier.com

Thanks for your help in advance

Steve

Any body shop or anybody that can do auto repair can do the job, the hardest part is matching the color and blending it in.

Try bathtub repair places that do porcelain repair and reglazing. It won't be porcelain, but they use a resin that's very close in appearance and texture. As KZ1000 said, matching color will be tough. If it's a run of the mill color, or white for that matter, that'll make it easier.

I repair & resurface tubs, I use a "special" polyester filler on porcelain. As far as matching paint you'll have to take a panel to the auto paint store and have them "shoot" the panel to match the color. Any person who refinishes porcelain will know the proper steps to get the paint to stick to porcelain.
