Hi new to the site. I have restored a couple of pumps a Wayne and a Gilbert Baker. I just dug a FRY Mae West out of a farmers junk pile. It seems complete except for the glass. I have a couple of questions. First is the top that has the globe on it the top of the cylinder? I have the top and bottom rings. Also are there supposed to be gallon markers I don't see a way to attach them. Thanks Mike

Should be a TOP & BOTTOM ring on cylinder. Indicators on most were attached to rods on outside of cylinder.
Is it a 5gal #17 or 10gal #117 ?
Pictures will answer a lot of questions.

Welcome. On the Fry pumps, usually the top sat onto the cylinder ring and was held in place with the rods. There was a vent in the tops to allow the pressure of the gasoline being pumped into the cylinder to escape. Other than that, pretty simple. Good luck, Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Welcome to this site, Mike! This photo is of a 5 gallon Fry. The top sits right on top of the glass cylinder with a rubber ring in between. Gallonage markers have bendable tabs on them which hold onto the outside rods. Hope this helps. Don't be afraid to ask questions for more info. WE're glad to help! Sam
