Hey guys,

I just won a Mobiloil Arctic Gargoyle sign on eBay. I'm quite happy, heart beating fast.

But, just wanted to make sure -- it's not some kinda repro or something is it?

Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4550233800&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Thanks!
Wes

Sign looks great, but does anyone remember far_tech, aka f1ordparts, aka?

Both signs look like originals to me. The first is painted metal and the second is porcelain. Hubba.....mine like it is on fairly light gauge metal....but as I recall it cleaned up OK.

This sounds exactly like far_tech in his wording and showing a picture of another item that was it would have been used with or in the same era. I would not bid on any of this guys stuff and would try to get out of this auction. Buyer beware in this auction.

Sorry Keith

It is him. His about me page says its the Ol' Mining Parts Co. Check his feedback. Already has a nasty negative. I would probably give up a negative feedback in this case than risk dealing with him. Looks like he changes his Ebay ID every few months.

Dang... Well, I'm glad to hear that it's the consensus that it's original, but... If the seller has been unscrupulous, I hope I actually get it. I figure I'm going to try (send payment, etc). Hopefully he'll pull through. It looks like the eight feedbacks he's had since his name change were from people who liked the item. Hopefully I'll luck out... I do apprecaite the warnings very much - I'm going to be on my toes during this one.

Hubba - that sign is awesome too. I bet it will clean up really well. I hope its trip to the U.S. is a safe one.
Now that I know your ebay name I'll try not to get into a war w/ you over something

I'll let everyone know what transpires with this transaction...

Wes
