I'm in the process of restoring a 1950 Martin & Schwartz Wayne 80. I'm trying to find a place that sells "Regular" or "Premium" stickers to go on the doors. I could tell by the shape under the paint that the decals were Conoco. While all the Conoco pumps I've seen don't excite me very much, I found myseld kind of in awe of the bright green "Regular" that I found as I was scraping the white paint off. I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,
Welcome to Oldgas.com Shop Talk.
Do you mean a sticker like the "Premium" on this M&S 80 in our Gas Pump Album?

It is possible you may find an old original at a swap meet, eBay or here on Shop Talk. Or you could have one made by T-way's Graphics.

I bet he wants the regular in green like this one. And it would look even better with the green triangle.

Dick and Jim thanks for the T-way graphics lead. I've searched all over the internet and have not come across anything yet. This looks promising. And Jim that Wayne 80 in the album is exactly what I'm referring to. Got any restored I'm mad at myself for not taking photos of what I found under the white paint. oh well live and learn I guess. Thanks for the tip.

That third sentence in my reply didn't make any sense. I'm new to the discussion board thing so I'm not sure how to post photos (or proof read for that matter. If this works, you can see the outline of the decals. Even underneth that blue regular on the right you can see the original sticker.

Thanks for the heads up on the regular sticker. I've got a question into the seller to make sure the background color is green. The shape and font type looks correct.

DasFast1:

The e-bay decal is a horizontal decal - it's not angled up like the pump photo shows. The type is straight up-n-down, not italic as would be correct for CONOCO.

Later . . .

Jim,
I think it's the correct sticker. If you look at the bottom edge of the decal it basically runs horizontal with edge of the picture, yet when you look at the dark line inside the U that runs parallel with the outer left edge, it is not perpendicular to the bottom but angles. Similarly if you notice the picture of the pump on the left side of the paper the bottom of that pump is parallel to the bottom but the left edge is not parallel to the left edge of the sticker. I think what makes it difficult is that the edges are curled. Especially the right side. That said the guy never responded to my requests. I do appreciate you looking out for a newbie.
Mike
