...here's a few things I picked up... ...a pair of Mobil Freezone 5 gallon cans in really nice shape, that I think are from 1940...I don't think I've seen a 5 gallon antifreeze can before, at least I couldn't remember one... ...24 Kendall Outboard Motor Oil half pint cans, already emptied and in great condition... ...some plastic Fargo piggy banks from New Jersey...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

The oval Zephyr Supreme Ethyl is what I got at the Matthews auction in Raymond, IL on Saturday. I've been looking to get this globe to complete my J.D. Streett Zephyr globe collection for too long. Yay! The round globe is my odd-ball green and yellow Try Zephyr globe with "speed-lines on steroids" that I've had for a while.

Jim it was nice to see you get that globe yesterday, and you were not kidding about the green and yellow zephyr. That thing is awesome.

The forum File Manager upload software displays full images up to 100k in file size and puts in links instead for those 100k to 150k. I'm patiently waiting for an upgrade in 2011 that will include more powerful and easier image upload and display tools.
We love to see images, even if we have to click to see them! Thanks!

Here are a few of my recent buys. The Amalie sign is probably from the early 20’s; it’s tin and about 12”x16”.

Got this 28 inch ssp sign. "IC" was a cooperative movement that formed local assiciations in order to buy gas and oil cheeper for their farming equipment and cars. Soon they were setting up their own gas stations (1930s). This sign is NOS and from the 50s. Uncertain of how it was displayed as IC stuff isn't very common. Most was thrown away when another coop assn, "OK", took over in the 60s. IC was one of the first companies to move into self service (1951). Check out the link for pictures of IC stations and more. http://grandprix63.blogspot.com/search/label/ICbr Claes

Nice additions Kim.
Hey Candianoilguy. Don't rotate the lens. I will bet it was on the side of a building or awning and not on a pump. Mount it on a wall. Neat item.
