Depends on the model of the station lighter. If you have a picture that would help determine the model so we could help place a value on it.

Showing the Wayne's w/o bonnets so you can see the different tops. 2nd from left had a clear glass protector globe over a Mogul [lg base] bulb. I have another lighter [in shed] that was on a Canadian 60 w/ a Huge bonnet like China-mans hat. Last 2 Banjo Harps I seen on ebay sold for over $1200ea w/ damaged bonnets. 2 yrs ago I passed on a 36-B lighter for $1,000 [had re-made sheet metal].

Thanks, Nick

Depending on the lighter style. Most lighters do not have an ID anywhere on them.

No picture, no est. Pig in a poke If you said you have a Bowser pump in your shirt pocket & it looks complete w/ spicket & handle, it would be easier to give a ball park value! Don't laugh @ that statement, I have 2 BOWSER #41's that WILL fit in my shirt pocket. One is missing the spicket.

If I were to give $350 for one with out a bonnet in real good shape is that a fair price? From the pictures in Jack Simms book I think it may be a wayne 587.
Thanks, Nick

That's not bad. A correct painted bonnet might run $100 & a Nice porcelain might cost closer to $200 when you find one. In my 1st pic, the far left is a 587 [I marked it 100 as it was used on those pumps]. & in 1st pic the 2 on right are both 585's, but left one is 1938 & other is 1947.

Dick:
Any idea of what this is supposed to fit?
Here is a shot of the unit next to the top off of one of my American 900 pumps. You can see that the detail on the edges of the base unit perfectly match the edges of the pump top.
But that doesn't mean that it was designed for this pump.
I've always wondered what it was supposed to go on.
Later . . .

Is the base of that light flat? If it is maybe it is for a Federal. They look like an American but the top is flat and not curved.

Matt:
I really don't remember.
I'll try to get out to my Display Room tomorrow and see. The Stationlighter is leaning up against the wall behind one of the 900's so it should be an easy check.

Yup - the bottom of the base is flat. I guess I'll need to modify it to fit correctly onto my 900.

I guess you need a flat top. I had a pic of a Federal with a flat top(can not find it)but this one says American on the face. Also found a pic of Federal with the curved top. Maybe the flat top is for a station lighter. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Those lights kind of look like the ones that they used at drive-in theaters to line the entrance and exit roads.
