The red truck is awesome!!! There is a lot of variation among "restored" pumps. Go for one that is nice inside and out. There are so many makes and models of pumps that would be awesome to have--pick a good one. A solid calculator pump from the late 30s should be in your price range. Have a blast. Dave Folck

If you are interested in pumps, I suggest you purchase a couple different books to start. "An Illustrated Guide to Gas Pumps" and "PCM's Guide to Gas Pump Restoration".
Both of these books will give you a much broader insight into the "World of Gas Pumps", IMO.
Also ask questions, a ton of people here are very knowledgeable and helpful.

not sure if it is yours.I bought it off of a guy in PA 4 years ago and had to restore about 60% of it. New bed, bunch of mechanical issues, undercarriage stuff, suspension issues, new interior, typical stuff for an old truck. Body was extremely solid. Would be curious to hear of yours though. Didnt think there were many f-3's out there.

Nice truck!!! I like them stock. Customs are nice, but I like the look of a stock original better.

The Gas Pump book is good for reference, But STILL ask values before buying a pump as those prices vary widely

thanks so much for the warm welcome and the needed advice. I appreciate it. Well, why is it that I have spent some money and yet I feel not cured of my new "sickness"?? lol. Bought a nice Ford Advertisement clock from PetroRelics (not sure if he is a member here) but will say that he seems like a very nice guy and he treated me with courtesy and he has some cool stuff!!

If you are going to pick up a porcelain Ford sign, here is a link to the topic I commented on when I bought my Ford sign. It tells you what to look for to make sure it is original and not a reproduction: http://www.oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=157673&page=2Check out the bottom of the page and the page after it to see what I am talking about. I did buy that sign I was talking about.

Welcome to old gas! The pump pictured is a rare version of the M&S 70 Most had the flat plain top and some the cast fancy top like Matt posted. That pump is worth every penny they are asking in my opionion because the top is rare. I have a 70 script top like that but have not seen any others untill you posted that photo. You can tap on it to make sure it is metal but I bet it is since no one reproduces one in fiberglass yet and "hopefully will not" That top is way larger than a M&S 80 top. Hope this helps and nice Trucks. I have been driving around a 92 F-150 for years hauling /overloading with pumps and it still runs strong 190,000 miles later original motor heads never been off. Same body style as your 96 . Great trucks yours looks clean! Rob

thanks for the further input! My trucks are both babied! My '96 has 140K miles and it looks like it did the day I bought it in 95. Not a tear anywhere inside. The wife keeps on me to sell it, I told her aint ever gonna happen.
