Some brands imgage inspections wouldn't allow the old Mobil sign, but I think it looks good. Near Grand Haven, Michigan

on the way to a little job yesterday i found a few things.wasnt sure about this one,but talked to an older guy who was nearby and was def a station at 1 time this one is now a bar,can see where the pump pipes were patched on the island and right on the shore of the big lake(michigan)at first the young guy who answered the door was a bit reluctant to let me take a close pic.then when i explained i wasnt looking to buy it,he relented.left my phone # to see if his dad was interested in talking pumps

I was on a wild goose chase in NW North Dakota, about a month ago and I took the opportunity to stop in every small town that I came across! Heres an old station in a VERY small town in northwest North Dakota! Theres a lot of very small towns that are dying a slow death and many of them will still have the remains of an old station that is left standing! This building is on its last legs, as the roof is in very poor shape and mother nature is slowly reclaiming the structure. No idea of the brands sold here as there were no identifying items around.

I went to another small town and was about to leave when a flash of color caught my eye and I traveled down the last street in town to find these pumps and signs in front of a residence! I knocked on the door to ask for permission to photograph them and a woman that I had known previously from the horse industry came to the door. Turns out she loves old gas memorabilia and her husband is very tolerant of it. She has collected this stuff from old stations in the area, over a period of years and has it nicely displayed in front of their home. It was a very nice treat to see this display and find someone else that shares our passion!

Looks like the canopy has been removed when they widen the road, additions to both sides of the building, a sign footing has been added. But the windows & door look the same today on this M-34 Adrian, MI location.

When visiting my in-laws I took this picture this weekend of a pretty nice Ford sign. The dealership recently closed and I drove by to see if the sign was still there.

Great shots, everyone!

I really like the now-and-then shots, Dave!
Interesting how much the tree grew, too.
