ebay item number 220703475184

I informed the seller....hope they do the right thing.

if it was real it would fetch around 8k

they never made this sign in 24"....10 1/2 and only in porc.

I have two orginals....

these signs were reproduced for TGIF Fridays...when the chain went under, all of their repop signs were sold. I remember seeing them in the resturants.

Thanks for posting this Paddy! This should just reinforce the need to mark these reproductions whether they are correct sized or not! Many years from now, who is going to be around to distinguish between original and repop? We certainly can't allow any reproductions to somehow become a part of american gas & oil history!

We still have one in the Next Town too, but maybe they didn't go over in certain regions. I think there food is terrible.

At Half the opening bid price it would still make a Cool Sign.

the seller did the right thing and posted my reply.
yes, Jason the food was terrible....tried them out on three seperate occasions, all different items and in different areas of the country.
They pulled out of most of the southern locations. Nobody was eating there...The food was bland and with no taste.

Mom and Pop restaurants are the only thing we have here on the coast. It's an hour and a half drive to the nearest McDonald's !
Maybe that's a good thing as I'm still a fast food junkie at heart.

Got to hate big corporations sometimes. Maybe Fridays should of sued them instead. I love Mom & pops places or the hole in the wall places they have the best food hands down smile
