I'm in the process of restoring my first lubester for my Texaco station and I need some color scheme ideas. It's a Bennet high boy with the clear glass cylinder. Anyone have picture of some restored ones to post? I don't care if it's Texaco or not.

Hello Gang.

Here's my little Bennett 15-gallon Lubster done in Polly. I also have a Polarine Lubester (30-gallon version) that I will try and take a few shots of over the weekend.

Thanks Jim, I hadn't thought about the pinstripes and the bordering. I guess we have to dress these up since the originals probably weren't all that "artistic". Of course, you can't beat the Polly parrot as far as a nice graphic oil company logo.

Great looking lubester Jim.When I do my pump
in POLLY I hope I can match that color.

You guys have to have more lubester photos out there??? Just because the Polly is awesome doesn't mean you can't give me some more ideas. If you know of any photos online somewhere that would help too.

Did you notice the cool lubester on the main page of this Web site? Click on "Primarily Petroliana Main Menu" on the bottom of most Shop Talk forum pages. Look at the vertical row of images on the top left side. Scroll down with the little arrow there and see the Phillips 66 lubester. Put your cursor on the thumbnail image and it will pop up to full size.

That display case lubester is terrific. I had been thinking about something like that, but wasn't sure how to do it. Not only that, but it's Texaco which is my brand. Thank you all for some great ideas.

i've seen my green 66 lubester on the front. well it used to be mine i made a trade with a fellow at the mo gas show several years back.i'm sure that's where the picture is taken from.here is one i've done in black and orange.i cut the shield out and cut out a place for the ad glass in the top.it all lights up pretty cool.then i put a repo sign in the background.nice way to display your goodies,milt

Hi Guys.

Here is my 'Polarine' Lubester. It features two-tone paint, custom 'oil' decals and a custom-made pec-on, along witht a polished original brass nameplate and chrome plating. I still have to pull some stripes on the front - but I'm waiting for the yard to dry out so I can get another delivery of propane.
