If you look at the picture Jim posted - then at the Rocket Decal OTD posted, you will see that OldToyDoc's decal was ALSO on the pump at one time. You can see the outline shape on the door.
Later . . .
Jim
P.S. I can reproduce that decal for you if you need some.

I contacted some guy out in the midwest and he told me that Rocket service stations were taken over by Richmond. My pump didn't have a globe on it when I bought it. But i'd like to put one on top (bowser 585 has the cap and light fixture inside for the globe if wanted)....what are your thoughts people? i don't wanna paint the pump because not too many people have heard of Rocket....I'm stuck in a bind.

Unless its going to be on display in a public museum, theres only one person that is the most important to please and that is YOU1 You're going to be looking at it every day and the best thing that can happen is for it to be pleasing to you, every time you walk past it! You don't want a scenario where you always wish you'd have done it different! Now make that thing a ROCKET fuel pump!!!!

Do you know if this came from southern Wisconsin? There was a chain of stations that went out of business in the mid 1960s between Lake Geneva and Milwaukee. Never saw one open, but the colors were red, yellow and bright blue, and the sign shape was similar to DX. I've been looking for info on this Rocket since I joined Oldgas.com.
