Hi, Gang. I have looked at an "Ashland Flying Octanes with Ethyl" gas globe for sale. The faces are genuine NOS, while the glass body is a reproduction. The firm price is $400. Doesn't feel like a bargain to me. I wouldn't be buying it for resale, but it is always nice to get a bargain...especially on a globe that likely isn't all that rare. Comments on the pricing, please? Thanks, John

John,
That is a real far price if lenses are in nice shape. I paid $450 for mine on capco and then put it on a real nice original screw base glass body. I have a mint in mine now.

If you like it... it's worth the $400. Regular Flying octanes sell for $300-$350.

Let us know what you do!

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.
