Wow Wes that has to be on my Peotone list. Looks like a gastronomic BOTY!
Just got these in today for a BOTY. Guy selling them on ebay had a bunch. Extras at Columbia. Happy New Year!

Man, I need to read a little before I post! I had this in the wrong spot!! LOL These 2 pumps are the best ones I've ever gotten and I suppose its because they're both porcelain and pretty darn rare! I got the Tokheim 36B out of New York on an Ebay listing and the porcelain Erie came from my good friend Jeff Anderson that lives over by Milwaukee! I just finished cleaning the 36B up and I'm ready to start on the Erie next! Maybe I'm just partial to Cities Service pumps but how many do you see done in porcelain?? Enjoy!!!

So here is my "Buy of the Year", LOL (alongside one I picked up a few years ago)

Did I mention that every one I had seen in the past was missing the most important thing?

This "Jet-action Tydol Ethyl" car even has the original "New Veedol for you motor oil" balloon with it. The balloon is in pretty good shape, especially for being atleast 60 years old.

WOW!!!! I cant say here, what my first response was, but WOW!!!

Here's my one and only buy of the year. It's a Bennett 900 series. The pump itself is not that remarkable, but how I got it is. I was up in Michigan's U.P. for a week for work. On the last day of the project, I decided to drive around the town. I spotted a large scrap yard, and thought to myself,
"If they will let me look around, I might find a pump."
So I got permission to go into the yard, but no luck on finding a pump. I was all set to leave, when I spotted another guy walking around the yard looking for stuff as well. I struck up a conversation with him and he proceeded to tell me about all the treasures he had found in that yard. While he was talking to me, an old pickup loaded with junk entered the yard and drove past us. Something in the truck caught my eye. It looked like a tractor hood, but no, that's was not right,as it was too long. I had almost completely tuned the other guy out as I stared at this object in the truck when it dawned on me that it was a pump. I said to the guy,
"I'm sorry, you gotta excuse me."
and walked away. I ended up buying the thing right out of the truck. The man with the truck helped me load it into my van, and I had myself a new 900 series. It still amazes me that had I left 30 seconds earlier that I would have totally missed it.

I didn't buy a whole lot of 'stuff' this year - but this is my favorite.

The only set known to exist - there isn't even a set of 'Regular' lenses known from this company.

Later . . .

Are the Cities Service signs part of the porcelain on the pumps?
If so that seems like a very cool set of pumps you got there.
Is there any other pumps that have the gas brand built into the porcelain on the pump?

Rick--Yes the Cities Service logos are part of the porcelain finish. I know that there were other porcelain finished pumps but I don't know about the logos.

I just received this one in the mail today. First Union Oil gas gauge stick I've seen. How it survived is beyond me, as it is made out of heavy cardboard. One to two uses and it would have been toast.
