I don't have any first-runs right now. Those that I do have, the mounting holes don't line up with the notches in the lenses. I have about 25 like this. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to sell them all this friday night.

Pat: We've go 'em in stock. Both wide and narrow versions. Price includes the lens mounting hardware. Shipping is a bit expensive since these weigh a ton and have to go in BIG boxes with lots of peanuts to arrive safely. They are shown on the 'Bodies' page. Later . . . Jim

...apparently, there's not enough 'room' for the suppliers of reproduction/replacment parts to make any money...but over and over, you hear how much of a demand there is for them...I wonder how much one would need to charge to make/sell them profitably...
...there are an AWFUL lot of loose Gill lenses on ebay, makes one think some of the dealers are buying Gill globes just so they can put high dollar lenses in them, and dumping the common lenses on ebay...I guess you could buy them up in the anticipation of someone EVENTUALLY repopping Gill bodies...?

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Without the availabilty of repro gill bodies there are two solutions for using those excess lenses. One is to attach them to a glass body with silicon and the other is two modify a plastic capco body to hold them. As capco bodies are for 13.5" lenses and most gill lenses are smaller than that, the edges where the capco comes together must be sanded or ground off to make the frame smaller. The "bumps" for the notches in the lenses must also be removed. It takes a little time but the end result is a cheap way to display gill lenses that have lost their bodies to more valuable lenses.
