WOW.... What a great story! Looks like a metal detector's in my future as there could have easily been more signs thrown out when this one was. It was almost 1/2 buried when I was a little kid, and it had not been on a slope it would have been completely buried. Wish me luck!

I must be the minority, as I like them in this condition! Its what I prefer. Not to say I wouldnt take a mint sign, but I love a sign that shows age and character. I wouldnt try to restore it at all.

WITH THE SIGN I RESTORED ABOVE, I LEFT THE OPPOSITE SIDE IN IT'S ORIGINAL AGED COND....BEST OF BOTH WORLDS! LOL!
