This is near my grandparents house in Anderson SC. It may have been featured here before but here it is. One day the woman who owned it since her father passed away was cleaning some stuff out i stopped by. She said she wasnt ready to sell but her husband was quick to mention that the fridge that was inside got a 2 thousand dollar restoration on american restoration........ haha

Going through Greentown,Indiana yesterday and I saw this station. Talked to the owner today and he said it was a old Hy-Red gas station. After that it was Crystal Flash station. It was built in 1925 and closed 1949. I did ask to see if he had any pictures of it from back in the day but he did not!!! Will be doing more checking on that. It is now on the Indiana national register for historic places. Has anybody heard of Hy-Red Gas? Randy

Love the old architecture in the these early stations. I can imagine going to the gas station was as muck as destination as anything. Truely a different era and way of doing things that sadly are lost in todays world.
