I finally bought a worn clam globe to go on my unrestored Wayne 40. I like it better than the other one that was on it. Now it needs some chips and scrapes on the new paint on the doors. There were no doors on the pump when I got it.

Looks Great Matt!! I've always loved the un-restored look much better than restored pumps.

I'm starting to like the well used look more and more! Clean'em up and leave'em alone! Good looking pump Matt.

My first globe was a Shell in about that same shape.(20+ years ago) Still have it!

Are you going to beat up the pumps on either side of it so it doesn't look out of place? smile

Interestingly at each of those ridges is an eye both on the top and bottom shells .... you place a conk by a scallop and you'll see one swim

Great idea to leave it original because "restoration" is an irreversible process!!!

Mick,
It appears that "Cat-Man" posted his reply as a new topic and a moderator merged the two topics together. Shouldn't have, but the topic merged together took on the name of the second topic. I just reverted the topic name back to what it was. crazy

Matt,
It does look like the globe belongs there, like it was found that way. Another nice pump in your lineup. smile
