I've seen some porcelain signs that have been cut to remove a damaged piece, or some have even cut out the logo from old well signs. How do you do this? I've seen some very professional jobs. I'm afraid mine would look quite "butchered".
Please don't guess or tell me how the first cousin of a friends second wife used a diamond saw blade. I'd really like to hear from someone who has actually done one.
Thanks for the help.

I used a fine tooth blade in a jig saw. Masking tape as my straight edge. Went slowly and the cut was very smooth.

You might try this on a junk sign or computer faces to see first hand how slowly you should go to avoid chipping.
