Wow! The LUBRICATION portion would be neat to hang in my shop! That looks like porcelain panels still on the gas station.

With the logotype on the building, I would venture to say he was a Marathon dealer once . Still, this type of building wasn't often built . Great find ! Ed Shaver

I'm too old, looked like dark green to me, but upon closer inspection.....the door being blue makes me think the stripes might be blue....darn old age!

It's great to see the old stations with the old timers. There is a Texaco Station with no pumps by me in Vermont. I plan to do a story on it one day. The guy just does Alignments with a 50 year old hunter machine. The station is all original down to the paint on the outside and the floors inside. No pumps or signs- old can's the original soda machine and cig. machine. The original Texaco Key's hanging Mens and ladies- he has locks on them because people have tried to take them. It's like a blast in the past. I talked with the owner for over two hours. He showed me all the awards from Texaco that his father won. He said he has some new old stock stuff-but nothing is for sale. He even has an original in operation Eco 37 that he still supplies free air to people. Here is a picture of the key's I found on the web- This is the station. I will get some pictures as soon as the weather changes. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kenstein/321846018/Here is a picture of the station on google earth: Google Earth Image

WELL, LET ME SAY THIS.....I SEE A GREEN 7-UP MACHINE....NOT BECAUSE 7-UP MACHINES ARE TYPICALLY GREEN, BUT BECAUSE I SEE IT AS GREEN. THE TRIM PANELS ON THE BUILDING WHILE CLOSE IN FAMILY TO THE GREEN IS DEF NOT GREEN...IT'S BLUE. THIS I CAN DECIPHER. BTW, THE BARELY VISIBLE COKE MACHINE IS RED, BLACK AND WHITE AND IS PROBABLY FROM THE 80'S. HOW AM I DOING? IS MY MONITOR CALIBRATED OKAY? LOL!

I found out that the station used to be a Pure station and it was built in 1938....The guy said the building was built or made by a company in cincinnati, ohio...Its all steel and porcelain....the guys bathroom is inside and ladies out side...He has owned it since 1983...and it was switched to gulf gas station when he took over...

Look's like a place where you want to get a 6 1/2 oz. bottle of coke and a bag of peanuts and hang out on a saturday! Cool!

Thanks for posting the pics of this station Polesignkid. And make darn sure if that thing ever comes up for sale it gets preserved! That would be one nice little station to restore. Heck, it's all there and hardly altered. Even now I want to drive down with my Softscrub and start getting those rust marks off it, lol! I wish there were some like this in my area but the only porcelain paneled one I know of is in Reading, MI and was a Pure as well. It's now a repair garage. Again, great building, thanks for the pics. Darin
