I would like an approximate value for a White
Rose Gas globe. It is one piece glass with
glass inserts of a boy in checkered pants
holding a White Rose Gasoline sign with en-ar-co around the edge. The inserts are
fastened by metal flat head screws. I have
had this globe in the family for at least
40 years, but unable to come up with a
reference book listing. Thank you for any
help you can give me. Dennis Miller

Hi, I'm looking at my Globe price book, copywrite 1999 and it shows your globe to be valued at between $1200-$1600. Probably 20-30 % more in 2002 $$ Seems like the the sky is the limit if you were to try and sell it on E-Bay. Shows that it was made from 1928 - 1935. You refer to it as one piece glass. Don't think this is a correct reference if you actually have inserts that secure with screws. The one piece globes are just that, one piece of glass, manufactured or blown. They were acid etched or fired /baked on paint. This type of globe is in the same book for $3200. I'm sure these prices assume that it is in very good condition. These are just rough values. It's a great globe that is worth what someone's willing to pay.
