Late 1950s early 1960s Coca Cola Clock, Has the Coke Fishtail logo which dates this clock from '58-63. Keeps perfect time, Neon is blue and has a switch that you can use to turn on/off. Blue Circle was a diner in the TN area and at one time had over 30 locations. $950.00 OBO Thanks Joey

I bought it about 4-5 years ago from a local collector, He bought it in TN a year or so before I bought it from him. I have never seen another myself.

I wouldn't be so quick to say its not right. I googled Clue Circle Diner and this was one of the results... http://www.restaurantwarecollectors.com/...70af&t=9871So the story about the chain having 30 locations is true. Certainly not out of the realm of possibility that the clock is original.

My guess is that Blue Circle served Coca Cola products exclusively. As part of a marketing deal, Coca Cola and Blue Circle had that regional ad clock maker in Kentucky produce custom neon clocks for the Blue Circle restaurant locations. Coca Cola likely paid for the clocks as a promotional reward to Blue Circle for their business. Plus, Coca Cola got the advertising visibility in the restaurants.
Again, that's my "guess". But, I was in the marketing business for years, and could easily see this happening. John
