For the most part we tend to see pictures of pumps posted like Tokheim 39's, Wayne 60's, Fry 117's, Wayne 615's, National A-38, Tokheim 850's etc.

Occasionaly we get to see something scarce like a Wayne 800. But where are the really unusual ones that Jack has in his book? Are there no examples out there? Are they only in museums? Do the owners not use this website? Are owners reluctant to let "the criminal element" know that they have these pumps? I'm just curious, where are they???

I'm not a pump expert, but I'd say most of the very rare pumps are in private collections. Many of these guys don't even have computers!

Tim,Take a ride over to Cuba, Kansas and look up Dave Walters. His collection of pumps is mind boggling. We all better hope he lives a long and fruitful life because I doubt his wife shares our passion and if his collection ever hit the market we'd all be selling these pumps as boat anchors.
