I got these great old photos from Dave Decker:
"My great grandfather Andy Reeves opened the first gas station in
Kirkwood Mo. Thats the family story anyway. Through the years they moved and had a couple different locations, still in Kirkwood. I have a picture of one of the later stations from the late 1920's early 30's. Its a Barnsdall. I'm just looking for Barnsdall info. If you have any info on Barnsdall and how far out the stations reached I would like to know."

Barnsdall started up in Oklahoma in 1921. They were bought out by Sunoco DX in 1952. The brand was continued until 1957.

Here are a couple links here on Shop Talk with Barnsdall pics and info:

Jim Patton and his awesome dad are the Barnsdall experts as his dad worked as a young man at the refinery, they have a giant Barnsdall collection and a wealth of information.
Doc, they had alot of stations. I am lucky enough to have 8 different Barnsdall globes.

There are some photos by Russel Lee taken in Pie Town NM showing a post office with Barnsdall pumps in front. I think there was also a Barnsdall station pic on Shorpy.
