Does anyone make a reproduction one-piece Texaco globe? Particularly the Texaco Ethyl globe with embossed letters? Thinking about puting it on a visible I just picked up.
Thanks

The one piece globes are reproduced. Maybe a vendor that sells them will let you know the availability and pricing. This one selling on ebay in a few hours, while stated as an original, sure just looks funny to me. It may be a copy. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7120726432&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

Yeah, it looks repainted with a brush, at least.

1 piece milk-glass globes with fired on logos are $275 each. Embossed aren't available, call 405.282.5586 to order.

Hey guys, I looked at the globe on ebay real close. I believe it to be an early original etched globe. These are rare but Texaco did use them. The repaint job on it looks crappy, but the globe I believe is real. No one to my knowledge has the mold to that body, it is made by the Solar Electric company out of Chicago. Very early body. Bad repaint.
