I am looking fo rinfo on the following oilzum can. I am going to try and put an image on here. It is a 5 gal can. Overall real good shape. Just dirty. Wooden handle, nice graphics, top intact. Actually I have two. One is empty and one is full. I am looking for a round about date on this and a apprx. value. I am a avid collector, but these are my first Oilzum pieces this old. I might consider selling. Let me knwo what you think.

Great website. I wish I found it sooner. I look forward to participating. Thank You.

59fairlane - HERE IS A CAN THAT I RECENTLY TRADED FOR - IT SEEMS TO BE THE SAME AS YOURS IN SIMILAR(?) CONDITION. WE AGREED ON A $75 VALUE SINCE IT WAS MISSING THE LID.

Thanks for the info. What would the value be with the lid? Any idea on a apprx. date for these? I think mine say vitalube as well, just hard to make out.

I'D HAVE TO SAY TOP DOLLAR WITH THE LID WOULD BE $100-125. REMEMBER, I TRADED VALUE TO VALUE. AS FAR AS DATING? I'D GUESS BACK INTO THE 1920'S ON THESE. THE "PETROLIANA" BOOK (BY MARK ANDERTON) LISTS IT ON PAGE 113 @ ABOUT THE SAME PRICE BASED ON CONDITION. HOPE THIS HELPS...
