After hospitalization for a heart problem, Judy Hoyt of Iowa Gas Swap Meet passed away last night. This is a shock to us all, including her husband, Ron Hoyt, one of the Iowa Gas partners. Judy's smiling face and friendly manner were well known to not only those who attended Iowa Gas, but also all the other swap meets that she and Ron attended over the years. Please join with me in offering condolences and prayers for Ron, their family, their business associates and many friends. A very sudden event. Dad and I had a very pleasant and lenghty visit with Judy and Ron almost one month to the date at Columbia.
Collect small Oklahoma Oil Co.'s 1920's-1940's. Barnsdall, Cushing, Eason, Marland, etc.

This is truely sad. May I say that you were always the perfect hostess. Judy Hoyt always made you felt welcomed when you signed in at Iowa gas. She will be missed...Thank you Judy. May God Bless you and give you strength through this great loss Ron and your family.

...the one time I got to go to Iowa Gas, I flew to the show and had to pack some items to send back as they were too big to go on the plane...Judy offered to drive me (actually insisted on it!) to buy some packing supplies...the Hoyt family has my sympathies...she will be missed...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Ron & family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. She is a truly a gem and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. It was ALWAYS a joy to see her at the shows. She always had a smile and was so willing to do anything to help. She had a magical way of brightening the world of those around her. I talked with one of the Peotone show promoters Tim about geting a space and i told him about Ron and he said he had talk to Ron already and Ron was going to make it to Peotone.
I know this is a tough time in the Hoyt family but prayers go out to Ron and his family.
