Just scored this cool Petroliana piece today! The can has a HANDY CITY price sticker and that company went OOB/Out Of Business in early 80s, I know that because I bought industrial shelving from the closing auction, so it's at least that old. The price tag on it is for $3.59. I got a pair of them out of someones trash, yes I cleaned it up with car wax!
Unbelieveable to me is the top male screw plug made it, I'd bet they got lost in hours, as happened to it's not as nice sister can. MADE By KELLY MANUFACTURING CO. Houston, LosAngeles & Memphis. D'oh! I'm not sure why only first pic comes out large the 2&3 need to be cliked on.

You can actually pour gas out of those without all the anti spill nozzles on new cans that don't work. I still use an old school can like these because they work. Ted

Hey, I used to go by the factory in Houston which made those cans. If I'm not mistaken, I think an old friend of mine used to work there too. Ed Shaver
