I've had this one for over 6 months, but I just realized I'd never shared it with you folks......another one of those brain farts that happen every now and then.

These "embossed" Pegasus signs are fairly common, but you don't find them in this condition often. I've been after one like this for quite a few years.....when you collect what I do, this is a "must have" piece!!

A guy called me that was going through his mother's garage. She had a bundle of cardboard yardsale signs that were taped to street signs. She would used the cut off posts to stick them in her yard along the highway. This was one of the signs that was being used for her yardsale. I have picked up two in less than a month.

Another great show at Peotone. I got a few things, the 5 quart I thought was an upgrade but it is actually different from the one I had. The anti freeze can is from Scott and I believe the Mens sign is a Sinclair item, the colors look right for it;

The Pennant globe is from Team Hopp. They made me a deal I couldnt refuse;

Parco was a company out of Parco WY. They were bought out by Sinclair. The town then changed its name to Sinclair WY. I passed through the town once, there was still a Sinclair refinery there in buisness;

Picked up a few things for my collection. Several vintage cans for my auto paint - body shop collection. Two Steelcote cans with nice graphics of a car being brush-painted, a BPS Auto paint can and a Martin Senour Wagon & Tractor paint can. The Buick Sales & Service "barn-hanger" will get touched-up and hung outside my future shop/garage. The Rustoleum sign has such great farm graphics that it kept calling me to buy it. Almost automotive.

I've picked up a few Tydol items that I'm told are somewhat rare... If so then I've been very lucky lately... LOL

I won on ebay a small printer's block advertising Tydol gasoline. I knew I had seen the logo before, but couldn't place the time period, until I won a newspaper ad dated June 1933.

Also was lucky enough to pickup this Tydol item. Haven't seen one on Ebay before.

Once I had the battery service kit, I went looking for a Hydrometer. Now this type was most likely not at a Tydol station back in the day, but who knows?...

Lastly picked up a couple vintage anti-freeze cans from the 30's.

I think I had read somewhere (though you would know better) that the name tydol first appeared on products in 1920, so your Tydol knight printer's block could date even earlier...

So, if it could be inked without damaging it, will you be using it on all my letters and cards, or at least on the back of any envelops you send out? That would be so cool!

As far as I can find, the Tydol Knight logo was used for a short period of time in 1933. Tydol also used the "skater girl" to advertise their Triple X gasoline.

If anyone has anymore info on this logo, please share.... Thanks!

The stamp relief itself is copper, so once I get an ink pad it should work as well as it did new. I don't send out letters and such anymore, I use email instead. But as you suggested Nicole, I could have seen myself using the stamp on letters and postcards.......

It would be a good logo on the business cards I hand out to people when I am hunting for gas and oil items. Most likely time for new cards. LOL

I'm wondering if the use of the Knight for a "short" period was because INVADER was already using a Knight (on a horse) In their trademark advertising?

My Escalon buys. I picked up a Gilbarco 96C, a pair of Bennett 541 doors (I was happy to get these because 541 parts are hard to come by) and a few smalls.
