Hello, I have aquired a Tokheim 36 and in the process of disassembling it I've noticed that the dome does not match the dome plate correctly. I'm guessing it is off a later pump. Would anyone have the outside base measurements of a 36 dome? Thanks, Steve

Welcome to Oldgas Steve. When you say dome, I'm guessing that you mean the globe. By not matching the plate correctly, what exactly do you mean? Do you have any pics?

Thanks for the reply, I'm talking about the rectangular top(with a glass on all 4 sides) that sits on top of the iron top plate of the pump frame. When you say globe, I think of the round globe that could go on top of this dome(the tokheim manual calls it a dome) I'll work on pics tomorrow.

1st picture is a 36 steel top [sold it a few years ago], Next is a Factory 4 adv-glass top w/ adapter plate on bottom [factory Removed approx 1" face to face & added the mending plate on each side], This shows the adapter plate from the bottom,

I never knew that part was called a dome. I'm thinking, if the dome doesnt fit, its not from a 36B pump.

Thanks guys, Dick I have 11 1/2 on the side that you measure at 10 3/8, and 14 3/4 on the other side. After close examination of your pics, it looks like I'm missing a trim at the base of the top(held on with one screw in each corner). I'm wondering if this top is for a 36B, not a 36. Ric, I'll take you up on your offer. Attached are some pics of the misfit that I have.
Here's pics of my misfit top

Dick Both of my 36's have the steel tops like the one you sold! So you wouldn't be interested anyway??? But you still could stop in, you might see some others you may like...

KW is Correct, yours is for a 36B. Everyone Collects what They Like & I was buying 36/36B tops when I found them under tables, on tables, in the back of pickups, in trailers @ swap meets. ONLY 5 of these were taken off of pumps to SELL to me when asked, last year @ Iowa Gas I PASSED buying 2 & not because of price.

A good straight 36B top with all the parts and no cracks or breaks will bring an easy $350 and I've seen them as high as $485 on ebay but that was over a year ago.
