I am looking for old (50's) Carter Fuel Filter boxes to display. I don't have any photos of the boxes, but they look to be 2 1/2 inches across the front with a light colored front, the top 1/4 inch of the front of the box looks like a dark color, maybe red? (I am looking at a small photo of one through a magnifying glass.)
If you have a photo of the box, please post it.

Jack do you have the add for the metal display which has 2 drawers and 3 shelves?
Dick, as soon as I can figure out the boxes, I will contact you.

I have about 100 pieces of Carter literature, many displays shown, but none as you describe. Can you give me a year, I have a ton of mags. I haven't even looked at in years.

Mike--I saw one of those countertop displays today but the man wouldn't give me a price on it. It looked pretty good but I don't think there was anything in it. I saw one sell on ebay recently for $1400+. What is a decent one worth? I'm pretty sure this other one could be bought decent, I think?

The photo i posted is a photo of mine. My first one was a bit rough. I like mine with a bit of patina on them. $1400 was WAY over priced for this display. You can find an almost N.O.S. One for $400 and under. If you want it to be complete make sure it has the parts list printed on cardboard slid in to the slot the back. I have bad photo of one on a counter top, and to insult to injury, the display is placed in the back round.

Thanks, that helps! If I'm able to get back into the area where I spotted it, I'll know what to look for! It looked pretty nice thru the window!

There are a few of types of cardboard boxes, one for the whole "inline" fuel filters, one for just the filter elements, and the small in the carb filter elements, somewhere I have a couple of them, I have a couple of floor standing Carter parts bins. tt
