Didnt they repop these clocks? I saw one (20") round at the Chicagoland Coinop show a few yrs ago and was told it was new. Case was blue hammertone paint with neon. I believe it was priced at $4-$450? At the top 12 oclk area it has a metal tag with a dealership name there. I believe the company below made them.

From what I've seen the original clocks had the dealer name on them. This is possibly a "newer version"??

No...... Really he had a $1500 offer but not anymore especially when one stops his auction until I say what it would have paid and then telling me the second hand doesn’t work and then when you have one guy questioning if it’s a repro? Another saying "from what I've seen the original clocks had the dealer name on them" so all I have to say is sorry charliey.......

You guys make me laugh,,,one guy makes a statement "didn't they repop these clocks " (I can only assume he doesn't really know what he's talking about) and a second hand that might not work,,, (small repair job for an expensive clock,) and that becomes the out for another guy to back out of an offer..all show and no go.. Talk is Cheap.!! LOL ! LOL ! LOL ! Funny you bet..

yes they did repo this clock however you can tell the one here in question is original....they usually did come with a name plate from the dealership on the top of the face & if you look real close you can see the screw holes there..i doubt this one ever had a name plate as the rust patina color is consistent on the whole face.....I have this same clock from my hometown & i also have a Pontiac in this same style "Lackner"....these clcoks were built with cheap materials & did not hold up in the elements very well, especially up here in the north.......

Funny discussion.

I agree with other posters, clock is 100% real... And I think it is more valuable b/c it does not have a dealership name tag.

I sold an identical one for $900+ a few years back.

These clocks are worth much more with dealer signs on them. I have restored quite a few of these. They bring big bucks with well known dealership avertising on them.

IMO with or without the adverting shouldn't change the value of the clock as it can be added or removed or changed which I did the later

These clocks were first introduced to dealers in 1949. In the sales catalog you could order it with or without the optional dealer name plate.
