I just bought a restored Erie Model 743 gas pump. The hose is inside...how do I open the front to get inside? Any suggestions? I can't find a release lever.

Randy, slide a screwdriver under the door between the base and the door. The doors are set on pins attatched to the base.Pry up at each corner gently..the door will raise up eventually.

Erie 743's dont have access doors but they do have a lock on the side.If the pump is restored I doubt the restorer restored the locking mechanism
