I have tried to include images here with no success. I have an old Red Crown gas pump (glass cylinder) that is original except for the globe. It is in excellent condition with only weathering affecting appearance. I want to know what the value of this pump might be. Since I cannot include a picture here I was wondering if someone who knows about this would email me and I will send pictures back. Thank you so much!

With the cylinder being cracked the value is greatly decreased.I see visibles like this for around 750 to 1000 with no cylinder.Sometimes less and sometimes more. This is a nice piece as is.You must have nice neighbors!

Cynthia,
I believe you have a very nice Bennett model No.810. The only thing I see missing is the conduit for the electrical wiring to light it up. I couldn't tell in the photo but there should be an oval brass tag about the size of a half dollar rivited to the cast iron piece below the glass cylinder but above the sheet metal if this is a Bennett 810. It could be painted over

Well, I'm the biggest rookie of them all, but I will probably have to sell this pump (and maybe the other one in the background) because of financial needs. Any other suggestions on where and for what price? I think I saw a Red Crown go for quite a lot on EBAY, but I have no idea if it was exactly the same.
Thank you all so much,
Cynthia

I just looked and I did find the Bennett 810 tag as well as an Underwriters tag below it on the sheet metal (about 1.5 by 4 inches). Boy, you guys know your stuff.

Cynthia,

You shouldn't have too much trouble selling them to someone here on Oldgas.

Just not me. I'm kinda broke.
Best of luck,
Wes

Hey oldnfuelish,if you want a visible give me a call,I can put you into one pretty cheap.Visibes arent worth as much as everyone thinks they are due to the lack of ceiling space in the houses. They still definately have good value though. The price differs on each brand and how the condition is,especially if the cylinder is cracked.I have sold numerous ones with good cylinders for the 900 to 1100 area. What are these visables worth cynthia????
