I posted a picture of this pump a few months ago as I have been trying to buy it and learn more about it. I bought it this week and it is the heaviest pump that I have every handled!!!! It is very complete and in great condition. I need to decide what theme I want to use when I restore........Any suggestions?

...Tydol...the company the pumps were made especially for...that's what the 'T' in '60T' stands for...'Tidewater'...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Great score... I bet the offers are pouring in to you. I would leave it as it is and put a globe on it

If you want it to look correct it needs to be Tydol. You could get away with Flying A also. The hard part will be getting a shoebox globe for a correct restoration. They did use regular globes also, but mostly shoeboxes. Here are mine to give you an idea.

The shoebox that appears to be extra is not extra. It is going on a pump.

I think the pump looks good the way it is. Change the add glass if you want & put some decals on it. Then the globe & you are good to go smile
