Question regarding the rubber weather strip that is fastened to the back of the doors to seal against the pump. Anyone have experience installing the original style seal? Does it want to pucker up when going around the top rounded corners? I assume you have to add the mounting holes, how did you locate them? Anyone just foam rubber weather stripping with an adhesive back that one can get at a hardware store? My pump will be displayed inside.
Thanks

I've done lots of these pumps and have never used the door rubber. In my opinion, the pump looks much better without it.

Here's another opinion on one of my favorite pumps...I "always" use the seal because I think it looks better original. The available kits that pop rivit into place handle the corners very nicely and are easily installed...otherwise...I wouldn't be able to do it. I tried the foam seal you mentioned but found it not nearly as nice.

I used the original style once, since then I have always used a foam, sticky on one side, and had great results. I got the foam thru the Mcmaster Carr catalog, Rick
