I think this is a reproduction sign. Ebay item # 250806541011. Your thoughts are needed and welcomed.

Well, unless they are making repops with the Veribrite name on them, I'd also say it's real.

...it's fake...you guys have GOT to learn your typefaces, and how to tell the diff between computer-set type and the old stuff...you make it too easy for the counterfeiters...and other hack artists...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

i spoke with the gentleman before i was to bid on sign i wanted more info on it looked suspicious to me due to size. the gentleman told me he bought the sign in NYC from a 78 year old gentleman that worked for veribrite signs and has a whole lot more signs from the company including another ticket office sign and also some of the common signs with the dog on it others beer oil gas. in my opinion it is a real sign the comparison between the recent sale of one is a different maker veribrite vs baltimore enamel which explains size difference and slight graphic difference, i agree with american garage it is a real sign that we havent seen often or at all patina grommets and if you want to reproduce a sign you try to stay to the exact measurements as the original to fool people. I do want to say this there are some signal pump plates on ebay now that are definately repro look into his feedback and you see he has sold the same signs over and over and the backsides have rust no porcelain covered in some paint.
would love to hear if iam right or wrong with my opinion.
