Hi fella's
I am somewhat new as a collector(about a year since I picked up my first pump).I have four pumps now that I am starting to tinker with. Odd how it works, bought one pump last fall off e-bay and wound up with three more freebies by word of mouth,(one being a gilbarco 96c).
Anyhow...I need some info from you experts out there. I ran across a few items today and have no idea on values. A not so old standard oil lighted sign with pole, (Pure) Letters for outside of building, and an old lubester.I have some guides on pumps(including Jack Sims Bible),but don't have much info on other related items.
I can E-mail one of you some pics if that would be OK ????? Haven't quite figured out how to get my images on the message board yet.
Any help would be great.
THANKS, KERMIT

POSTING FOR 2manyhobbies/KERMIT:

Doc,
Thanks for the response.
The pure sign is plastic letters and are in good cond with a few scuffs from storage and one letter has a chunk (about 1 in. X 4in.) broken out by base side.
The standard oil sign is complete and has post to mout it on.
The lubester looks in good cond but did not see any id.
                 thanks,  Kermit

IN MY OWN HUMBLE PRICING OPINION ON THE ITEMS....ARE AS FOLLOWS.

PURE LETTERS: $60-100 BASED ON THEIR PROBLEMS. WILL PROBABALY CLEAN UP NICELY.

THE STANDARD SIGN IS COLLECTABLE BUT ONLY BY A MEAGER FEW WHO HAVE SPACE AND LAND TO DO SO. I'D DATE IT FROM THE 70'S OR EARLIER. WITH BOTH LENSES BEING IN GREAT SHAPE WITH STRONG COLORS....$125-175. THE POST MAYBE $100-150 IF NOT ABUSED. THOSE BABIES WEIGH A TON....NOT REALLY, BUT USE YOUR KNEES - NOT YOUR BACK! LOL!!

THE LUBESTER LOOKS TO BE NOTHING SPECIAL...RATHER GENERIC.
WOULDN'T PAY ANYMORE THAN $50 TOP DOLLAR BUCKS FOR IT.

GOOD LUCK!

Welcome to the site Kermit, you got a couple of nice signs there, I don't know much about the price of signs , But Doc is on the mark for the lubster, around here even half that amount, check and see if the spout is brass or is it cast steel, the brass ones clean up real good, Just to let you know the gas and oil bug is a tough addiction,I mean hobby to shake and this website will be an everyday watch page , always feel free to ask any Questions.
