I'm not sure this is fake yet. Are there other repops that you know to compare it to? Do you have an original to compare it to? I have an original Richfield oil rack w/oppisite blue/yellow sign on it in storage. I cant remember if its two signs back to back or if its double sided. I'll check it out and try to post some pictures.

I think this is the seller of the bogus painted signs. Oilzum is the one I remember.

First let me say I realize these arent the same images but its all I have and I am just posting these to compare the quality of signage Richfield used. The first image is the sign in question. I certainly see that the quality is far less than the known original. There is actually a little shelving to the paint of the original whereas the one in question seems very thinly painted or almost "Ink" stamped. The known original is double sided-the one in question is not. The original is dated ,the one in question is not. There are the two mounting holes in what apears to be the right spots on the questionable one...

Several members of oldgas, including myself, filed claims against this seller a few months back. Most were given refunds, but not all. Looks like he learned to make sure he states that he does not know the age. Paypal will not give you a refund if he states this. This VERY sign is one of the ones returned for a refund. I imagine the others that were returned will be listed soon also plus more of his new creations from Grandpa's barn.

So in other words, stay away from eBay seller starkeysigns123.
