Does anybody know if Citizens 77 Group down south here had their own Oil cans or any other "CITIZENS" branded items? Begining to feel like I'm chasing a "Unicorn" Thanks, Joe Dirt.

Joe,

Citizens had globes and signs. I've never seen cans.

If it's the same as Citizens Speed (don't have the map handy), they had branded maps in 1955. I would say the map is somewhat rare.

Here are the maps. There's also a Citizens Speed which post-dates these from 1955. There is also a nice Super Speed map from the Speed Oil Co of Georgia I don't have shown from the 30's. I believe it merged with the Citizen's Oil Co out of Tallahassee.

There was a citizen lens at the Hoosier show yesterday for sale it was missing part of the bottom but in a metal body it would not have been bad. Roger cherry had it

Originals only for me. Always looking for Simpson oil, Super A, and MFA oil cans and globes.
