A fellow by the name of Jean-sebastien sent me these pictures, and this message:

Hello,
I send you this email because I'm not able to send a picture on the oldgas
forum, showcase and stories. I'm not really active on the site, but I read
everyday all the messages since 2 years. I'm from Montreal, Canada. This is
the picture of my Bennett 966, my first gas pump. I restore it 4 years ago,
it have an original european shell globe ( I originally came from france).
I'm starting the restoration of a Bennett 76 canadian model and a gilbarco.
The second picture is about 2 signs I just bought, after 1 year of
negociation with the owner. But now, I'm no more interested by these signs,
I'm dreaming of a wayne 60 ( thanks gas pump of the month!). I just want to
ask guys if I go to the Mass gas Bash ( the closer show from Quebec), do you
think I could sell these signs and maybe bring back a wayne 60 with the
money of the signs.... What is the value of these signs?
Thanks for posting the pictures

Jean-sebastien

Very nice Bennet. Looks great! On the signs for a Wayne 60? Better bring more cash for the difference. The signs are large, a little rough around the edges and the white outlined "T" won't bring as much as the black outlined. MY OPINION on value. $200-$250 each. But you never know. Someone may just have to have them and trade you a Wayne 60 for them. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the answers, I guess I'll keep one sign for the wall of my garage, I'll try to trade the other locally and I'll go to my first gas bash with a lot of cash!!!

YES, THAT IS A BIG DOLLAR SIGN! I BOUGHT ONE AT A YARD SALE IN 1999 FOR $80.00! AND THEN SOLD IT IN 2003 FOR $750.00. IT WAS ABOUT A #7.5 COND. AND I HAD FRAMED IT WITH PLYWOOD BACKING. I'VE SEEN THE NICE ONES GO FOR AS MUCH AS $2,700.00 ON EBAY. BUT I WAS HAPPY WITH MY RETURN VS. MY INVESTMENT OF 4 YEARS EARLIER. NICE SIGN TO HAVE START HIGH ON PRICE AND TAKE NOTHING LESS THAN $350-$400.
THESE ARE SCARCE.
LIKIN' THE 996 TOO....JOB WELL DONE!
