I've seen this sign a hundred times, wich would lead me to believe it was a generic sign shared by several different companies? I've seen it advertised by sellers as gulf, Chevrolet, and ford. Would love to know the true origin of this sign ?? I sold one of these at Hershey 2 years ago for peanuts compared to ones I've seen advertised as being ford!!
see me at Mason Dixon Gas, Spring Carlisle M114-115, and Hershey C4E-35.

It appears to be a newer version of this one.

"Agency" is an early tern, seen on lots of Pre 1930's advertising. You seldom see it used on much later signs.

Does anyone have some new info on this agency sign. I found one I could buy, but would like to know average value and use.

I think its just a generic dealer sign. Not Gulf

...Charles, I've seen it advertised as Ford and/or Chevrolet as well - but it's definitely a Gulf sign, and dates to late 20's-early 30's...every time I've seen the sign in an old photo, it was at a Gulf station...there were single- and double-sided versions...I'm looking for a nice double-sided one...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
