Doing my first pump restoration, a Tokheim 39.
I got it disassembled, removed the guts, painted the frame and had the base professionally painted.
Reassembled the frame onto the base, installed the veeder root and faces.
Here's my question: my panels are going to my body guy for sanding and painting. Do I need to mock up the pump right now with my panels to make sure everything still fits okay??
Or do I do that when I get them back and just assemble the pump?
Thanks, I've got 5 more pumps in line I'm going to do the same way.

YES!!! Its always a good idea to check the fit before paint. Being that it was once all put together, its not as critical as if you obtained some "non-original" parts, but its still a good idea.
