Hi Ken,
The authors of "The Gas Pump Collectors Guide" are working on a new book that concentrates on the gas pump restoration process. I have not checked recently, but the book should be nearing completion soon. It should be very good with lots of photos and experienced expert advice. When I find out anything, I'll post the info on this forum. Many enthusiasts have asked for this book. Jim

I am presently discussing a book on gas pumps, with publishers. Rather than a restoration book, this will be an identification guide to gas pumps (while I haven't counted them, I believe I have pictures of approximately 4000 gas pumps made between 1898 and 1975) and possible other equipment (lubesters, tireflators). Discussions with one company suggest a brief history of each company followed by a cronological (where is the spell checker) listing of the equipment, four to a page, with a great deal of color. I will naturally keep everyone informmed, both here and in my gas pump column in "Check the Oil!."
