I am going to look at a 54 Mobilgas sign tomorrow. I can't tell from the picture but I don't think it has a blue border on the pegasus. Does this affect value?
I see them on Ebay from $500-$7000. That's a heckuva range. This is a DSP, 60".

There is no set value, if you can get it for 500-700 you are OK, If you are buying it only to sell it, you have to use your judgement

That one looks pretty clean. Ive paid, and seen others pay, more than 700 for signs that were not as nice. I could see paying $1,000 if its a sign you have been wanting for yourself and not to resell. Great sign!

I stopped bidding at $500. It sold for $525. I'm pretty bummed I didn't at least go to $650.

I laughed, alot of the oldtimers there thought it was gonna go for $200. I told one guy if he found me 10 of them like that I'd buy them all for $200. I could tell that there were a few collectors there based on what cans and other petro items were going for. I ended up with some old license plates, a SWR meter for my CB and 2 Quaker State cans. All told I spend $12.

BTW, the sign was VERY clean. All mounting holes were intact and only one rust circle, about the 3" diameter in the field. Had a helluva shine already, could only imagine if it was cleaned.

Ya gotta step up to the plate on those nicer items. That was a very good buy for someone!
