I wonder if any of his pumps will ever go on Ebay for normal prices? I hope so because I like the twin and Erie. I think the reserve is set at the "barrett Jackson" level but they are nice pieces so no sense in giving them away.

I miss my pipe organ but his inside pipe base/lazy susan as I refer to it is a repop. Those things hardly ever stayed with the darn pumps.

tok. 850 - reserve not met 3808.99- I figured twice this price. Guess another product of the down turn we seem to be stuck in.

"Estimated value $15,800"

...doesn't look a thing like it would have on the island at a 1930 Gulf station...

...really, what's the point of owning a pump like that if you're going to paint it like a circus peanut wagon and use fantasy globes?...reminds me of seeing an actress that's just had some 'work done', and thinking how phony it looks and what a shame it is, that she couldn't leave well enough alone...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Joan Rivers and Cher come to mind. Hard to say how they might look if they had left well enough alone. Safe to say it would be different.

DP, if your looking at either one, your too old to give chase on something better looking!
